  該春節慶典活動內容以宣揚中國文化為主題。該活動目的是通過節日慶典活動及用巡回舞台劇和西方人民面對面的交流,在節日的娛樂活動中讓西方人民逐步了解中國人,了解中國和諧文化,并為希望工程籌募善款。
  • 為希望工程籌募更多的善款
  • 為梅州各貧困山區小學
  • 當地慈善機構
  • 慶祝中國新年及文化交流推廣
  • 令當地人民進一步了解中國新年的文化及意義


2. 舞臺劇巡回演出時間:
  • 1月25日-26日
  • 中秋節
  • 其他節日

3. 舞臺劇巡回演出地點:
  • 在伯明翰市50公里范圍內的大學
  • 區域市政局

4. 如何籌集活動經費?
  • 希望得到藝術市政局,Awards For All,Millennia Trust的資金資助。
  • 星島日報的免費宣傳。
  • 希望得到Birmingham Rep Theatre, Solihull Library Theatre, Solihull Town Centre免費供應演出場地。
  • 聯系各大學,為此次舞臺劇表演免費提供演出場地。
  • 聯系廣告贊助商。
  • 在英國中部及其他大城市作一次巡回表演。

5. 宣傳及推廣
  • 電臺

  • 當地電視臺
  • 建立一個介紹新年活動及該舞臺劇表演的網頁。

6. 將要做的事項:
  • 聯系所有離伯明翰15 公里范圍內的大學學府。
  • 知會華人社團負責人關于是次用中國學生演員之演出的舞臺劇,給予支持。
  • 嘗試聯系The Rep Theatre在09年1月26日免費提供表演場地,作為支持文化交流。
  • 希望邀請各界華人或餐飲業人仕協助這中國新年活動,提供相關幫助。

Project summary


U.K Overseas Mei-Zhou Association:
is proposing to hold a Chinese New Year Celebration at Mell Square, Solihull, on 24th Jan 2009.

  • To celebrate Chinese new year with tradional Dragon Dance & Lion Dance at Mell Square

  •  Promote Chinese Art Culture with Chinese Drama about Chinese New Year & History

  • To allow the participants, spectators and general public to learn more about Chinese Culture and meaning of Chinese new year

  • In terms of culture and education. It will provide children to learn more about Chinese New Year

1.   Mission Statement:

What is the idea for the Project?

  • To raise fund for ‘International Child Support’ project to help poverty children further education internationally

  • School building project in MeiZhou province, GuangDong, China

  • Local Charity

  • Ensure all the participants, spectators, performers, sponsors and organizers enjoy the event

5.     How to raise the fund for the program?

  • To gain free venues from Birmingham Rep Theatre, Solihull Library Theatre, Solihull Town Centre, Universities & Community Hall for this culture performance.

  • Ticket sales for tour performance within Midlands and other major cities in the UK

6.      Publicity& Marketing

  • Set up website introducing Chinese new year and the drama


7.     On the day:

  • Stage entertainment- to include Chinese marital arts, traditional Chinese dancing and Lion dance

  • Food and drink, traditional gifts + toys stalls

 

8.     Unique

The proposed Chinese New Year Celebration will become the first Chinese cultural ceremony in the history of Solihull. The city of Solihull has never held a Chinese related event in its history. With the help of Solihull local council and businesses, the event is ensured to attract a great deal of public attention throughout the Borough when it is held in January 09.
